FOR EASIER NAVIGATION:

Does United Heritage Offer First-day Coverage?

YES, United Heritage has a burial insurance plan offering first-day coverage, but it tends to be more expensive than other companies.

If you qualify, their Protector whole life immediate coverage plan will cover you from day one. Once approved, the company will pay a 100% death benefit when you pass away.

Pros Of United Heritage Burial Insurance

1-year lookback period – on cancer and heart issues. Pacemaker implants after one year are considered for immediate coverage.

Simple application – the company also does not conduct a point of sale interview as part of the underwriting process.

Cons Of United Heritage Burial Insurance

Financial rating – their rating was downgraded from “A-” to “B++.” This rating is still good, and it shows they are still able to pay policyholders on time. But, if you want peace of mind, it’s better to get a plan from “A” rated or better company.

United Heritage Burial Insurance Products

United Heritage has two types of burial insurance plans you can qualify for depending on your health. These plans include an immediate death benefit plan and a modified death benefit that works like a guaranteed issue burial insurance.

United Heritage Burial Insurance Product Features

  1. Simplified Issue – no medical exam, just a few health questions
  2. Guaranteed premiums – premiums will remain the same for life
  3. Guaranteed death benefit – death benefit will never decrease
  4. No cancellations due to age – the policy will not be canceled when you reach 80 years old

Protector Whole Life – Immediate coverage

This is a whole life insurance policy. It is issued to people from 0-85 years old.

You can buy as little as $1,000 up to a maximum of $35,000 in coverage. No medical exam or doctors’ records are needed to qualify for this plan, but you must answer NO to all the health questions to be eligible.

The Protector whole life plan is a level death benefit with immediate coverage from day one. Once approved, the company will pay the full death benefit when you die.

Protector – Modified Benefit

The other burial insurance plan offered by United Heritage is Protector modified benefit that acts like a guaranteed issue burial insurance. This policy is designed for those, not in the best of health or those with pre-existing medical conditions.

The death benefit payout is modified for the first two years. If you die from non-accidental causes during the first two years, your beneficiaries will receive 100% of all the premiums you paid plus 5% interest.

While it won’t be the full death benefit, it is better than letting your money sit in the bank for that time. The protector-modified benefit is very much similar to guaranteed issue policies.

When Does United Heritage Burial Insurance Make The Most Sense?

United Heritage has a 1-year lookback period on cancer.

United Heritage Underwriting Guidelines

You are not required to take a medical exam to qualify for Protector whole life or Protector modified benefit, but you need to answer a set of health questions.

You need to respond NO to all the health questions to qualify for a Protective whole life policy with immediate coverage. If you answered YES to one or more health questions, you would be eligible for their Protector modified plan.

United Heritage performs a prescription history check to look for all the drugs you are taking and for what condition. Some prescription drugs are a red flag and may cause you to only qualify for the Protector modified plan.

The company also reviews the Medical Information Bureau file as part of the underwriting process. United Heritage makes approval in 2-3 business days. They also don’t require a point-of-sale interview. They will simply communicate with your agent for any information they need.
